Parachute are a self-described "little band from Virginia" who just may be on their way to making it big. When I recently caught up with the band's lead vocalist Will Anderson he said the group describes their music as somewhere at the intersection of Maroon 5, The Fray, and U2. Parachute caught a taste of the spotlight when they were asked to perform in Times Square this past New Year's Eve. Anderson says, "It was beyond our imagination to get to be doing something like that so early."
Mercury Records will release Parachute's first album in the next few months. Their single "She Is Love" has been featured in advertising by Nivea, and the band has been touring recently with Jon McLaughlin. Keep an eye out for these high school friends who have turned passion into profession. Parachute are on their way up.
